Holiday Greetings to all!!!!!! I hope everyone's holiday is festive and enjoyable!
Today is MY official holiday, as 12/24 is my birthday! Birthdays are official holidays as far as I'm concerned. Happy "X-mas" to me ('X' is for XOCH)!! You all gave me the best birthday present ever - your love and support!!
A special thanks to all who voted for me in both the Rhythm & News Magazine Reader's Poll (results to be published in the January 2003 issue) and Alternative Addiction's Sound Judgement feature. I appreciate it very much!
BIG NEWS - I have just learned that the majority of the many thousands of voters at Alternative Addiction did, in fact, like my new single "The ONE" (over 62% of the voters said "KEEP IT!"), so my song will now be added to their Top 10 Unknown Bands feature, effective January 15, 2003. According to Alternative Addiction, less than 20% of the songs featured on their Sound Judgment feature actually make the cut, so I am very happy that so many of you responded so favorably! Thank you VERY MUCH. According to Alternative Addiction, literally millions of people (including many recording industry professionals) view their Top 10 Unknown Bands feature regularly, so this could be the big break I've been waiting for (and deserve, thank you very much!). So, please keep logging in to http://www.alternativeaddiction.com/ to keep my song up in their Top 10 list. With your help, maybe my single "The ONE" can reach #1 on their chart!! Don't forget, it starts on January 15, 2003!
I have a couple of new shows coming up in the beginning of the New Year:
Saturday, January 11- The Wreck Room - Walden, NY (w/Human & Guitbox).
Friday, January 24 - The Loft - Poughkeepsie, NY (w/Three, Down For Low, and Supergoat).
Come out and party with me!!!!!
Lastly, a very special holiday shout out to my awesome band - my partner and best friend Vince Ripper on rhythm guitar and backing vox, Justin Spada on lead/detail guitar, my brand-spankin'-new bassist J.J. Reed, John Casulli on Keys and Loops, and my long time friend and kick-ass drummer, Chris O'Keefe. Thanks guys for making my songs ROCK! I couldn't do this without you, and I am eternally grateful for your dedication and support! THANK YOU!!!
Happy Holidays to everyone!!

Wow! What a snowy day! It's snowing like crazy here in NY. It's so pretty outside, I think I'll make snow angels!!
Friday December 13, I will be playing a show at the Loft (located in the Chance Theater Complex). I just found out myself, so I wanted to spread the word to all my wonderful fans as soon as I could! I like to keep you all in the loop. It's my holiday gift to you!!
I feel like I'm campaigning to be a politician, or maybe a lobbyist. Xoch for president!!! Has a nice ring, don't you think?
Please spread the word that starting next week (12/9), I will be featured on http://www.alternativeaddiction.com/. Please vote for my break-through hit "The One." Get "The One" to #1!!
The deadline is approaching quickly! Please vote for me in the Rhythm and News Annual Reader's Poll by December 15. I'm looking to retain my title as "Favorite Individual Artist" (not in any category) and "Favorite Local Recording" (Xoch "The One"). Pick up a copy of this month's edition of Rhythm and News Magazine, or visit their site at http://www.rhythmandnews.com/ and vote online. Every vote counts!! Here's your chance to be heard!

Awesome show at The Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY on 11/16!!! First off, I want to thank all my wonderful, adoring fans for coming out and showing me love at my CD release party!! I would also like to thank the bands on the bill that night: Eddi, The Velmas, The Loose Marbles, Human, & Supergoat, along with the promotion team at Earth's Temporary Solution, for making the show a great sucess!!! Despite the terrible slushy weather, we had a great turnout (500 people!!) and I appreciate everyone who came out to support the show!! Thank you all very much! Thank you even more to all my fans who purchased my new CD!
On another note, this month's edition of Rhythm & News Magazine features the annual Reader's Poll, and I would like to retain my title of both Favorite Individual Player (from any category) and Favorite Local Recording (with my new CD release "The One"). Pick up a copy of Rhythm & News Magazine, or visit their site at http://www.rhythmandnews.com/, to cast your votes. Votes need to be received by 12/15/02, so do it now!!!
Another bit of GREAT news - my new single (and title track of my brand new CD), "The ONE", is going to be the featured song on the indie band website http://www.alternativeaddiction.com/ from 12/9/02 to 12/23/02, in their "Sound Judgment" feature, right on the front page. Please log in and vote for my song! If the majority of the votors like my song, I can possibly move into their Unknown Bands Top 10. This is a high traffic indie band/music industry site, and something like that could do wonders for the advancement of my music career. Again, I thank you all so much for the love and support. I could not do this without my wonderful fans and friends!!!
I will be gigging again after the holidays, so keep checking the site for future show dates (along with other cool stuff!) I hope everyone has a wonderful, fun filled, holiday season!!!!

"Xochology." Anyone can master "Xochology!" Don't know what it is? It's the themes and messages that I talk about in my songs. Being able to express myself both musically and creatively, has allowed me the opportunity to talk about the things that are important to me both as an individual and as an artist. Since I wasn't able to include the lyrics in my CD, this is my gift to all my wonderful, supportive fans. In appreciation to the fans, I will be posting the lyrics to some of my songs on the site within the next few weeks. So be on the look out! Check back in a week for more details.......
I am going to party this weekend with some friends for a pre-Hallowing celebration! It should be a lot of fun; music, dancing, getting crazy!! Mother's lock up your sons!

Over the last few days, I have been putting together a set for an upcoming acoustic show. The show is at Flip's Ice Cafe, in Suffern NY. Doors open at 8 p.m., so come on down and show a sister some luv!!! It will be a great time!!
On another note, Ian Anderson is playing my hometown at the Bardavon
Theater.
WPDH (101.5 FM) along with Ian Anderson, is holding a
contest, for area musicians to have a flute track played to one of their
songs. The listeners and fans, ultimately, vote for the song they
want to win. The winner gets to play their song on stage at the
Bardavon, with Ian Anderson!! So I need all of my wonderful, adoring
fans, to vote for my song!!!
More details to follow.
Look forward to rockin' you all!!

I'm a very busy girl!! This week has been crazy busy! I have started rehearsing three nights a week with my band to get ready for an upcoming CD release at the Chance on November 16. I'm getting ready to rock everyone's ass off!! I'm excited about playing the show because I can't wait to play to my fans again!! I really enjoy performing for them; it's the least I can do because I appreciate the belief and support they continue to show me. Besides rehearsals, I'm also doing some finishing touches on the CD and deciding on a t-shirt design as well. Oh well, back to the grind!

Last night, I went out to the Chance
to check out Butch Walker in concert. Man, that dude is bad ass!! He is seriously one of
the most entertaining people on the planet (aside from myself, of
course!). He was really cool to talk to. We talked before
his set and he invited me to hang out after the show. So, I checked
out his set and had a great time. It's not very often that I get to
go out and just let loose!! One of the things I enjoyed about the
show was that he did whatever it took to get the crowd going. After
his set, I got to hang out with him and his band
(they're all such
GREAT guys!!) It's really refreshing to see someone who enjoys
making music and entertaining people. He REALLY LOVES his fans and
appreciates their support, which is such a great thing! I'm going
to add him to my list of thank yous for continuing to inspire talented
musicians with relentless drive to keep going in their pursuit!
Thanks Butch!! Well I'm gonna go. C-ya soon!

On a day so tragic to so many, I feel that there's still a glimmer of hope. Sometimes a terrible tragedy is a way to bring people together to focus on the important things in life that are often taken for granted. Today, I'm ignoring all media coverage of the terrorist attacks. Haven't we all seen enough? I feel that it's time for a rebirth and to me, September 11, marks a new beginning for us all!! On a different note, my web site is up and running!! I'm very excited that all of you, my wonderful adoring fans, will finally have full access to all the Xoch happenings you can possibly dream of!! The recording session I did last week came out outstanding. I really love how "You" and "My Desire" sound and I can't wait until my album comes out!! Check out these 2 songs, and also my newest single, "The One", on my Songs page! For those of you who want a taste of what's to come, check out Scene Unseen tonight on WVKR (91.3 FM) (also webcast on sceneunseen.org) where I will be making a live radio appearance tonight!! Gotta go. Until next time - Bye!!

This is my first diary entry and
I couldn't be more excited!
There's so much going on right now- my web site will be up and running
in a matter of days (pretty cool!) and I'm getting ready to go in the
studio
to record the last two songs for my upcoming CD, which will be released
this fall. I love to record songs because it's an involved and
detailed process yet, it's a lot of fun at the same time. It's
really cool to watch the songs come to life! I can't wait because
tonight, I'm going to check out the layout for my CD, which I know
will
look awesome!! XOCH WILL BE THE ONE TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!
(Maybe in a few weeks- we'll see!) It's only a matter of time
before things will really start to happen. I look foward to it-
all the hard work I've been doing is finally gonna pay off!! Well
'till next time- Buh Bye!!!
