July 25, 2005

I'm Back!! From the road that is! The boyz and I spent the weekend in Franconia, New Hampshire for a couple of shows. We had such a blast!! I realize that is has been quite some time since my last entry. I figured we should catch up on the many things that have happened since then, so let me get you up to date.

The Chance show on June 25 rocked! Hard! I had such a great time playing that show. It was an honor to share a bill with 4 great bands - Flywheel, in Itself, Junket, and Cast Your Stones. Thanks so much for an awesome show! I also want to thank everyone who came out to the show. It was wonderful to see you all! The boyz and I appreciate the love!

Vince, Eric, and I had a terrific time at our July 15 Cubbyhole show. Thanks to everyone who came out to the show! We will be back at the Cubbyhole on September 9, so be sure to come out!

My song "You" is featured in the Laguna Beach Season Two Launch/Preview Special. It premiered on MTV on July 11, and it was extremely awesome to hear the song clip and to see my name and song title in the credits!! If you haven't had the chance to check it out, you still have a few chances to redeem yourself. Check your local cable listings for times and dates! Season Two of Laguna Beach premieres Monday July 25 on MTV.

And speaking of Laguna Beach, the Season One DVD of the MTV hit reality series is in stores now! Fans of the show are treated to bonus footage, music from the hottest up and coming artists and other tantilizing goodies! My song "My Desire" is featured in episode 6 and my name and song title appear in the credits, so be sure to pick up your copy at your favorite retailer! You can also purchase the Laguna Beach Season One DVD through MTV's website. Visit http://www.mtv.com for more info on this hit reality series! Rumor has it that another track of mine, "Not That Kind of Girl", will be in a future episode during the second season.

As I briefly mentioned, the boyz and I are back from a mini-tour in New Hampshire. We played a couple of shows in Franconia, NH on July 22 and 23 and got to meet so many wonderful people! We even managed to see some old friends too (Stas, MaryAnne, and Frankie)! I want to thank Uncle Joe and Anthony Cimino from Mojo Music Studio for bringing us up to Franconia! For those of you who may not know, Uncle Joe hosts an internationally syndicated radio show called "The Studio", which features great indie music from artists everywhere! Friday's show was recorded live from The Cannon Mountain View Inn and will be aired on the radio nationally and internationally within the next few weeks! We played a brand new song we just finished writing called "Anything" for the show, and we can't wait to hear how it sounds! So do yourself a favor and stop by the Mojo Music Studio website http://www.mojomusicstudio.com for more info about the show. I also want to thank the other bands on Friday's bill. We were honored to share the bill with The Drunk Stuntmen (who are a terrific live band and cool guys!!) We enjoyed their set and we look forward to checking them out again soon!! Also want to thank Tractor Ass for filling in at the last minute and for closing out the night! A great night of live music!!

Saturday night's show at the Cannon Mountain View was a lot of fun. We were booked for the entire night, so we kicked off the night with an acoustic set. Between sets, I was busy working the merch. I sold and signed so many CDs. People really enjoyed the music and it was nice to feel welcome in a new place! I want to thank all the new XOCH fans for picking up CDs! Enjoy, and I will be coming back to ROCK OUT Franconia again really soon! After the show, the band went up to the hot tub for a private after party. We were looking at the moon, mountains, and all the beautiful New England scenery until 4AM!! Absolutely breathtaking! Then it was back on the road for a five state, scenic ride home on Sunday.

I also want to thank Yvonne, Ray, Jessi and the entire Cannon Mountain View staff for their hospitality! They are awesome people and have terrific accomodations! If you plan on visiting the Franconia, New Hampshire area, check out the Cannon Mountain View Inn at http://www.cannonmtview.com.

I'm working on some new material and getting ready to ROCK OUT in NYC in August! Free show at The Continental, so check the front page for all the details.

That's all for now! Thanks for your patience and I hope you enjoyed this segment of XOCH Notes! Tune in next time for more..............ROCK ON!

June 24, 2005

Wow - summer's finally here! I hope everyone has some fun-filled days in the sun! Congratulations to the class of 2005 - happy graduation!! Have an awesome time at your parties and events! I wish you the best of luck in all of your future endeavors!

Had a terrific time performing at this year's Relay for Life Benefit in Mahopac, NY (6/4). It was so wonderful to see so many people of all ages come out and support such a worthy cause! Although it was quite hot that day, everyone was still in good spirits and it was so great to be a part of it! Thanks to my bassist Eric for hooking it up.

Block Island, Rhode Island was awesome! Beautiful weather, plenty of sun and beach time! I also got to meet so many terrific people while out there performing at my shows! I want to thank Marc Scortino (coordinator of the Block Island Music Festival) along with Blake and Paul Filippi (owners of Ballards Inn) for having Vince and I perform acoustic at both venues! I managed to pick up the local paper upon arriving there, and to my surprise they had a nice feature about the Block Island Music Festival with an article (and picture) about me! The best part was that the paper got my bio info slightly wrong, saying that I was the first international artist to come over from the UK to perfrom at the festival (go figure!!), and I found that to be such an honor!! They must have confused my UK record deal with me being FROM the UK, but hey, all publicity is good publicity!

Last night, (6/22) was an awesome performance with the me and the boyz (Vince, Anthony, Eric, and Gary) at The Continental in NYC, one of the hottest sets we have ever played! A special thanks to all who came out and bought CDs!! We appreciate the love! It was nice to be back ROCKIN' OUT in the "Big Apple".

I'm so looking forward to the show at The Chance this Saturday in Poughkeepsie!! Doors open at 7PM. There are some great local bands on the bill (Flywheel, Junket, In Itself, and Cast Your Stones), so if you don't have your tickets yet, get them! NOW!!! This is gonna be one hell of a show and you won't want to miss it!

Well that's a wrap! I'll see you on Saturday! Til then, ROCK ON my Bitches!

May 23, 2005

Once again, it's the newest edition of XOCH Notes!!! I have so much news to share with you, I don't even know where to begin!!

First off, I want to thank all of you who made it out to the Cubbyhole Coffeehouse on Friday! We had such a great time! I will be back there July 15th for another fun-filled night of acoustic music! I love the Cubbyhole because it has such a great vibe to the room and it is my favorite coffee house in all of Poughkeepsie. Do yourself a favor - the next time you are in Po'Town, stop by the Cubbyhole. Tell Lee I sent ya!

Don't forget, this Wednesday 5/25 I will be at The Continental in NYC for another FREE show beginning at 9PM. So come party with me in the "city that never sleeps!"

News Flash - Warren Miller Entertainment (who produces many extreme sport videos/DVDs and is known all around the world for their excellent work in this field), has just licensed two of my songs, "My Desire" and "Johanna's Cafe", for use on an upcoming compilation CD they are producing for Jeep/Chrysler. The CDs will be available at all Jeep promotional events throughout the summer, so keep your eyes peeled for your copy!!

Also, there are rumors that MTV's Laguna Beach are planning to use my song "Not That Kind of Girl" in an upcoming episode in Season Two! The Laguna Beach Season One DVD will be out in stores in July (which features my song "My Desire"), so be sure to check that out as soon as it is available!!

Now that my CD "The ONE" has been released in Europe through Now & Then Records (YAY!!!), besides being available in record stores throughout the UK, "The ONE" is also now available at these fine on-line UK retailers -
http://www.amazon.co.uk
http://www.nowandthen.co.uk
http://www.cargo.co.uk
http://www.towerrecords.com

For those of you who live outside the UK or Europe, you can still purchase both of my CDs "The ONE" and "Cabaret" at CD Baby - http://www.cdbaby.com/xoch (The ONE), or http://www.cdbaby.com/xoch2 (Cabaret).

And do you remember a few entries back when I told you that "Kyle's Mom" is coming? Well, she is here! I am a HUGE South Park fan, so just for fun my band and I decided to record our own unique and ridiculous version of the song featured in the movie "South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut". The song is now available for FREE download in MP3 form, but it is not directly accessible from my website here, so anyone who writes to me (see Contact page) and requests it will get a return email from me with the hidden MP3 link. Why have I not posted it here at my website? Well, anyone who knows the song knows that there is some very colorful language in it, so for decency purposes, I have decided not to post a direct link from my site here because I have many younger fans, and I don't want their mommy's getting mad at me! BUT - if you really must hear it NOW, then you can go to my page at myspace.com (http://www.myspace.com/xoch) and you can download it from there as well. I hope you all like it!

I will be getting around a lot this summer with two shows in Rhode Island, two shows in New Hampshire, and as always, plenty of shows here in the Hudson Valley and in NYC. If one of these away shows is near you, please come on out and say hello! Check the front page for more information on upcoming shows.

Remember, it is always better to maintain a positive outlook on life, no matter is thrown at you! Here's a cool thought I received from a dear friend of mine today - each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding. You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.

Please keep checking back here for all the latest news in the world of XOCH!

All right my Bitches!!

Thank you for tuning in to the latest edition! First things first - I want to say thanks to everyone who braved the weather Friday night and came out to the Cubbyhole!! As always we had a blast playing some your favorite XOCH songs in a stripped down, raw form. I also want to thank you for participating in the show and for singing your hearts out on "The ONE". I was up on stage and hearing you all sing along, I was like "This is the reason I do this!" There is nothing like looking out to crowd and to see them singing and giving their energy right back - truly magical and awe-inspiring!

And speaking of fun things to do on a Friday, I will be making a live appearance on WDST this coming Friday morning March 18th! Greg Gattine, the host of WDST's morning program has invited me up to play a few tunes acoustic on the air, and to spin a couple of tracks. So, tune in to 100.1FM beginning at 9AM to catch all the action!

And on the other side of the Atlantic, I have a review in the March Issue of the UK magazine "Classic Rock" written by the one and only Dave Reynolds! I have to thank Dave for doing the review of my new release "Cabaret". I haven't read it yet, but word on the street says it is a good one and I can't wait to share it with you all! I will be posting it as soon as it arrives here in the states (it is being imported from the UK as we speak), so please keep checking back.

Also for your reading pleasure, check out The Musician's Atlas article posted on the site. The Musician's Atlas interviewed artists about various CD Releases techniques and promotions for this article and they chose to feature me as an east Coast artist along with two other bands from California! The Musician's Atlas is a monthly newsletter that goes out to over 70,000 music industry professionals. I want to thank the author of the article Mike Grebb for the opportunity to share my story!

So much happening, where to begin! Let's start off with the latest news I have to share. My song "Yesterday" has been spinning on WKZE over the past few weeks as a result of some great response from regular listeners of the station. I am pleased to announce that I will be the featured artist on the CD Spotlight segment of "Off the Beat-n-Track" on January 12! Tune in to 98.1FM beginning at 7PM to check it out. That's right Bitches, the bulk of next week's show is yours truly! During the segment you can check out some tracks from my new CD "Cabaret" (which is available for purchase here). The program will rebroadcast on Friday January 14 from 10PM-midnight. I want to personally thank Todd Mack the host of "Off the Beat-n-Track" and the listeners of the show for their continued support!

On January 14, you can catch me live and in person for an acoustic performance at The Cubbyhole Coffee House as part of my Cabaret CD Release Tour. Show starts at 9PM. As always, there is no cover and all ages are welcome to attend this event! So come out to this highly caffienated, kick ass show!

The Cabaret CD Release Tour makes its way north to Troy, NY on Saturday January 29. I will be performing with the full band at Hudson Duster. This is an all ages show! Mother Necessity will also be on the bill. Doors open at 9PM and there is a $3 cover. Two great bands, $3=GREAT DEAL!! So show your support of indie music.

My Space-Don't forget to check me out on My Space! While you're at it, please add yourself as a friend and spread the word, you hear?!

And as always, you can find out all the latest from the greatest by checking this site and by requesting to be on the mailing list. Check out my Contact Page for more details.

ROCK ON!!!!!
